Cookie Policy

Document Version: 1.0 | Effective: 2026-07-01 | Last Updated: 2026-06-29

1. What are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer or mobile device when you access websites or online platforms. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information and store preferences.

In TindahanGo, we use secure cookies and equivalent browser storage mechanisms (e.g., LocalStorage) to keep cashiers and owners authenticated, protect logins from session theft, and save localized UI configurations.

2. How We Use Cookies

We classify our cookies into the following categories:

A. Essential Cookies (Strictly Necessary)

These cookies are vital for running our authentication session structure. Without them, our server cannot verify your JWT signature upon dashboard navigation, meaning you would have to log in on every page click.

B. Security & Fraud Prevention Cookies

These cookies help us verify your request origins, prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attempts, and protect your cashier shifts from session hijacking.

C. Preference & Settings Persistence

We use LocalStorage parameters to retain user choices, such as POS scan audio alerts, sidebar expand/collapse state, and default branch configurations.

D. Performance & Logging (Future Ready)

In future updates, we may deploy analytical tools to count unique visits and page interactions. Any such tools will be configured to run without tracking your customers' PII.

4. Managing Your Cookies

You can choose to accept or block cookies:

  • Browser Controls: Most web browsers allow managing cookie behaviors through settings (usually located in "Privacy and Security" preferences).
  • Consequences of Disabling: If you choose to block strictly necessary or session cookies, the TindahanGo portal **will fail to log you in**, as our security firewall rejects unauthenticated API routing.

5. Policy Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to match additions to our security mechanisms or browser parameters. Any revisions will be indicated by the version details at the top of this page.
